Soca superstar Machel Montano is giving one lucky Caribbean performer the chance of a lifetime to share the stage with him during Trinidad Carnival.

In a post on social media, the King of Soca announced the launch of a regional performance competition tied to his latest release Encore, a contender for the 2026 Road March title.

The competition will see the winning performer join Montano live on stage at his Monday Madness show on February 9 in Trinidad, with the added possibility of being selected to perform on the Encore World Tour.

Aspiring performers across the Caribbean are being invited to submit a 30 to 60 second Instagram video performing Encore in their own style. Participants can sing, chant, dance, play an instrument or bring their own creative interpretation to the song.

To enter, performers must post their video between January 22 and February 1, follow and tag Montano, Monk Music Group, Stamina Energy Official and their local Courts Caribbean Instagram page, and use the hashtag #MMEncore in the caption. Videos must also be shared and reposted to boost their chances.

The top three entries with the highest combined number of shares and reposts will advance to a public voting round. The final winner will be chosen by online poll on February 6 before taking the stage at Monday Madness three days later.

According to the contest rules, entrants must hold a Caribbean passport and ensure all submissions avoid derogatory, discriminatory or offensive content. Participants are also restricted from showcasing any beverages other than Stamina Energy.

The format, location and production details of the winning performance will be determined by Montano’s management team. Participants under 18 years of age must obtain parental or legal guardian consent and provide proof if requested.
