Dominica’s Minister for Finance, Economic Development, Climate Resilience and Social Security, Dr Irving McIntyre, will present the country’s 2026–2027 National Budget when Parliament convenes on Tuesday, August 4.

During the sitting, McIntyre will table the Estimates of Expenditure for the financial year ending June 30, 2027, seeking Parliament’s approval for government spending over the next fiscal year.

The budget presentation comes after the government sought EC$1.2 billion in expenditure in its previous budget.

In keeping with parliamentary tradition at the opening of a new session, President Sylvanie Burton will deliver the Presidential Address before the finance minister presents the budget.

The parliamentary sitting is scheduled to begin at 10:00 am and will be broadcast live on the Government Information Service (GIS) and the Dominica Broadcasting Service.
