A 57-year-old man has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing in Antigua and Barbuda on February 25.

The Antigua and Barbuda Police Force said Kevin Frederick of George Street, Green Bay, was arrested and formally charged in connection with the death of 44-year-old Dalton Cornwall of Jennings.

Investigators reported that the incident occurred on Wednesday, February 25, on Valley Road. 

Cornwall sustained a puncture wound during the altercation and was transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center for treatment. 

Despite medical efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries.

No date has been set for Frederick to appear before a Magistrate, however, the police force said it will be at the earliest opportunity. 

Police said investigations into the matter remain ongoing and asked anyone with information to assist.
