A United States military strike has killed four suspected narco-traffickers in the Caribbean.

According to a statement, Joint Task Force Southern Spear carried out a “lethal kinetic strike” on March 25 at the direction of US Southern Command head, Marine General Francis L Donovan. The operation targeted a vessel believed to be operated by a designated terrorist organisation.

US officials said intelligence confirmed the vessel was travelling along known narcotics trafficking routes in the Caribbean and was actively engaged in drug trafficking at the time of the strike.

“All four male narco-terrorists aboard the vessel were killed during the action. No US military personnel were harmed,” the statement said.

The incident comes against the backdrop of increasing scrutiny of US maritime operations in the Caribbean.

Since September 2025, more than 150 people have reportedly been killed in incidents involving US boat strikes across the region.

Among those believed to be victims are Trinidad and Tobago nationals Rishi Samaroo and Chad Joseph, as well as two fishermen from Saint Lucia.

Families of the two Trinidadian men have since filed a lawsuit against the US Government,
