The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority has returned as a Gold Sponsor for the 12th edition of the AUA Rohrman Trail & Swim Fest, set for April 11–12, 2026, as the country continues efforts to strengthen its position as a sports tourism destination.
The annual endurance event, which combines trail running, open water swimming and triathlon competitions, is already drawing a strong international field. More than 100 athletes are expected to travel from across the Caribbean, North America, the United Kingdom and Europe.
The largest groups are coming from Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados and the United States, with additional participants from countries including Canada, Jamaica, Cuba and the United Kingdom.
Chief Executive Officer Colin C. James said the event plays an important role in showcasing the destination on the global stage.
“The AUA Rohrman Trail & Swim Fest is an important platform for positioning Antigua and Barbuda as a leading sports tourism destination. This event highlights the very best of our country, from our breathtaking landscapes and pristine waters to our ability to host high-quality international events,” he said.
Event Director Rory Butler said continued support from the tourism authority is helping to elevate the festival’s profile.
“The continued support of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority allows us to take the AUA Rohrman to another level. Not only are we welcoming athletes from across the world, but we are now able to showcase Antigua and Barbuda in a truly world-class way,” Butler said.
Organisers say the partnership will support expanded international promotion, including professional video production and photography aimed at boosting the country’s visibility in the global endurance sports market.
The event will take participants through several of Antigua and Barbuda’s scenic locations, including Rendezvous Bay, Wallings, Cade Peak, Carlisle Bay and Morris Bay.
The festival features a range of events for different fitness levels, including 5K, 7K, 16K and 25K trail races, 2K and 4K open water swims, sprint and Olympic triathlons, and children’s events.
Registration remains open.
