A 61-year-old Canadian man has been charged with drug trafficking in Barbados.

The Barbados Police Service said Ronald George Collins of London, Ontario, was found with cannabis weighing 26.30 kg and valued at an estimated BDS$210,400 on March 27.

He has been charged with possession of cannabis, trafficking of cannabis, intent to supply cannabis, and importation of cannabis.

Collins appeared before Magistrate Douglas Frederick in the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court on March 30, where he pleaded guilty to the offences.

He was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service at Dodds and is scheduled to reappear in court on April 9, 2026.
