Cricket West Indies (CWI) has named a 15-member squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka in Antigua, with several familiar faces returning to the red-ball setup.
Roston Chase will captain the West Indies side, which includes the return of wicketkeeper-batter Joshua Da Silva after a strong domestic campaign in the West Indies Championship.
Da Silva scored 996 runs across the last two seasons of the tournament.
Also recalled is Amir Jangoo, who earned his first Test squad selection since January 2025 after finishing among the top run-scorers in this year’s Championship, including a double century.
Fast bowlers Alzarri Joseph and Shamar Joseph are also back in the Test squad after missing recent tours of India and New Zealand due to injury. The pair last featured in a Test squad during the home series against Australia in 2025.
The series will be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua from June 25 to July 7.
West Indies head coach Daren Sammy said the team is looking forward to the challenge of facing Sri Lanka on home soil.
“Every Test series is an opportunity for us to grow as a team and strengthen our identity. Sri Lanka are a quality side, so we know we’ll have to be at our best, but we’re excited about the challenge ahead,” Sammy said.
He added that the team’s focus will be on discipline, resilience and representing the region with pride.
“For us, it’s about playing with discipline, showing character when the game gets tough, and representing the West Indies with pride,” Sammy said.
The squad is currently taking part in a high-performance training camp in Antigua, which began on June 12 and runs until June 22.
Players involved in the white-ball series in Jamaica joined the camp on June 15.
The camp is aimed at sharpening technical skills, improving match readiness, building fitness and preparing the team’s plans ahead of the Sri Lanka series and the final home Test series of the summer against Pakistan.
As part of preparations, a WI Select XI will face Sri Lanka in a four-day warm-up match from June 18-21 at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua. Tevin Imlach will captain the 13-member squad.
