A 37-year-old Scottish man was killed in a shooting incident in Canouan, St Vincent and the Grenadines on June 24.
The victim has been identified as Daniel Vettrino, who worked as a Technical Services Manager at the Canouan Estate Resort and Villas.
According to the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF), officers responded to reports of gunshots being fired in the Gym Hill area of Canouan at about 11:30 p.m. on June 24.
When they arrived at the scene, police found Vettrino, who is also a Colombian citizen, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was later pronounced dead by the District Medical Officer. Local media reported this latest incident pushed St Vincent and the Grenadines’ homicide figure for 2026 to 19.
Authorities said a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
