HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam — Five Caribbean delegates have advanced to the Top 40 of the Miss World competition, which is currently taking place in Vietnam.

The Caribbean representatives advancing to the next stage are:

• Trinidad and Tobago — Georgia-Lee Gill, who advanced through the Head-to-Head Challenge
• Puerto Rico — Suil Pagán, who advanced through the Sport Challenge
• French Guiana — Audrey Ho-Wen-Tsaï, who advanced through the Multimedia Challenge
• Dominican Republic — Joheirry Mola, who advanced through the Top Model Challenge
• Belize — Faith Edgar, who advanced through Beauty With a Purpose

Edgar’s advancement is particularly significant for Belize, marking only the second time a Belizean contestant has reached the Top 40 at Miss World.

The remaining contestants in the Top 40 represent Canada, Peru, Brazil and Argentina, alongside the United States.

The competition is continuing in Vietnam, with the next stage set to determine the Top 20 contestants.
