The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) has launched a new guide designed to help hospitality and tourism businesses prepare their workforces for the growing use of artificial intelligence (AI).
The AI Workforce Transformation Guide for Caribbean Hospitality: Practical Strategies for People Management, Learning and Leadership is the third edition in CHTA’s AI Guidebook Series.
The association said the resource is aimed at helping hospitality leaders and professionals prepare their teams, strengthen leadership and integrate AI responsibly into daily operations.
The guide focuses specifically on the workforce implications of AI, including how businesses can navigate changes to jobs, skills and people management as the technology becomes more widely adopted.
“AI presents an important opportunity for Caribbean hospitality, but its value will ultimately depend on how our industry uses it to support its people and strengthen its businesses,” said CHTA President Sanovnik Destang.
“This guide is designed to help our members move from understanding AI to applying it responsibly: improving productivity, supporting their teams, and preserving the warmth and personal connection that define Caribbean hospitality.”

The guide is divided into two parts.
The first examines how AI is reshaping hospitality jobs, skills and workforce management, while also exploring the leadership, ethical and governance issues businesses need to consider when adopting the technology.
The second part focuses on implementation and provides practical tools to help leaders turn AI strategies into action.
These include an ethical AI charter, bias audit protocol, vendor scorecard, pilot plan and return-on-investment calculator.
The guide also includes implementation road maps, checklists, case studies and sample policies to help hospitality businesses integrate AI into their daily operations.
CHTA said the guide forms part of its ongoing work to help businesses across the region understand and adopt emerging technologies while preparing their people for changes in the workplace.
