BRIDGETOWN, Barbados — Barbados’ Prime Minister Mia Mottley is marking their 61st birthday with a message of gratitude for life, family, friends and the opportunity to serve the country.
In a post shared on social media she, reflected on the experiences of 2026, including the love shared and losses experienced, saying these moments had made another birthday especially precious.
“I am grateful for life. For my family, my friends and the people who quietly hold me up. For the privilege of serving this country I love,” Mottley said.
She also thanked those whose encouragement had provided strength, particularly during difficult days, and expressed appreciation to everyone who had sent birthday wishes.
“I feel the love, and I do not take a moment of it for granted,” the post said.
Mottley also thanked supporters for continuing to walk alongside them over the years as they worked in service to Barbados and its people.
