ST CROIX, US Virgin Islands — Club Med has opened reservations for its new all-inclusive resort on St Croix, with the property scheduled to welcome its first guests on November 12, 2027.
The development marks the French hospitality group’s return to the United States and will become its second Exclusive Collection resort in North America.
Located along Davis Bay, the resort is being designed for guests aged 12 and older, with 150 suites overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
Early booking rates start at US$365 per person, per night for travellers booking through Club Med’s US website.
Canadian rates begin at C$505 per person, per night.
Club Med North America and Caribbean President and CEO Carolyne Doyon said the project would combine the company’s all-inclusive offering with the natural and cultural attractions of St Croix.
“With Club Med St. Croix, we’re bringing together the personalized service, premium accommodations, and refined experiences of our Exclusive Collection with the freedom, discovery, and sense of possibility that have defined Club Med for more than 75 years,” Doyon said.
The resort is being developed at the former Carambola Beach Resort, which opened in 1986 and was built by conservationist and philanthropist Laurance Rockefeller.
The property is undergoing a major redevelopment intended to retain its architectural heritage while introducing contemporary Caribbean-inspired design.
Resort facilities and experiences
The 150-suite property will feature three dining venues offering international and Caribbean-inspired cuisine, including Club Med’s first teppanyaki experience.
Four bars and lounges, an infinity pool, a full-service spa and a dedicated adults-only Zen Oasis are also planned.
Guests will have access to activities focused on wellness, recreation and exploring the island.
US Virgin Islands Tourism Commissioner Jennifer Matarangas-King said the development was expected to create opportunities for local employment and entrepreneurship while increasing visitor spending.
The resort is also expected to expand the island’s accommodation options and contribute to efforts to diversify its tourism economy.
Exploring St Croix
The resort’s location provides access to the island’s historic towns, including Christiansted and Frederiksted, as well as local food and cultural experiences.
Visitors can also explore Buck Island Reef National Monument, known for its marine life and coral reef environment.
Reservations are now available through Club Med and travel advisers.
