Keithroy “De Bear” Morson has reclaimed the Montserrat Calypso Monarch crown after delivering two exceptional performances.

De Bear impressed judges and the audience alike with his first-round performance of “Ge Dem Licks” and his second-round song “Come Serve Your Country,” earning a total of 889 points.

His opening number also secured him the Crowd Favourite and Most Melodious Song special awards.

The reigning Groovy Monarch winner from the 2025 Montserrat Soca Monarch competition, De Bear sat out last year’s Calypso Monarch contest but returned this season with an undeniable impact.

Roland “Kenzie” Johnson finished as First Runner-Up with 840 points.

His song “No Man” earned the Best Social Commentary award, while its arranger, Eddie Prynze Duberry, was recognised for Best Arranged Song.

Last year’s 2024 monarch, Garnett “Sylk” Thompson, had to settle for Second Runner-Up with 806 points.

Maggie D claimed fourth place with 799 points, taking home awards for Most Improved Calypsonian, Best Festive Song for “Soca Come Back Home,” and Best Song on the topic “Youth Upliftment” for “Protect Our Children,” which was also recognised as Best Written Calypso, penned by Duberry.

The remaining standings included Yogi Laser (742), Bimsha (740), Boxer (714), Dardo (694), Blessings (693), and Black Pearl (677).

Boxer received the Best Newcomer award.
