The Caribbean is widely regarded as one of the world’s most socially conservative regions, but new data suggests residents are among the biggest spenders in the Americas on content from the subscription-based platform OnlyFans.

OnlyFans, founded in 2016 by British entrepreneur Tim Stokely, allows celebrities, social media influencers and independent creators to sell exclusive content directly to subscribers.

While the platform is best known for adult content, it is also used by musicians, fitness trainers, streamers and mainstream celebrities to connect with fans.

The platform has become particularly popular among adult content creators, offering a way to monetise material without relying on traditional studios or distributors.

Subscriptions typically start at US$4.99 per month, though some creators offer free access and earn income through tips, promotions and brand partnerships.

High-profile figures such as model Blac Chyna and actress Bella Thorne are among the platform’s top earners, reportedly making millions.

According to the OnlyFans Wrapped 2025 report published by OnlyGuider, a search engine that tracks adult-content platforms, Barbados recorded the highest spending on OnlyFans in the Caribbean.

The report found that Barbadian traffic generated an average of US$20,082.95 per 10,000 residents in 2025, up from US$16,416.28 in 2024, placing the island eighth overall in the Americas.

St Kitts and Nevis followed closely, with spending of US$19,390.44 per 10,000 residents, representing just over a seven per cent increase compared to 2024.

Antigua and Barbuda ranked 11th, with an estimated US$14,246.03 spent per 10,000 residents.

OnlyGuider noted that consumption patterns in Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, and St Kitts and Nevis, classified in the report as small tax havens, were largely driven by high-net-worth individuals rather than widespread adoption among the general population.

Dominica ranked 13th, with spending of US$12,749.88 per 10,000 residents, a sharp increase of more than 254 per cent year-on-year.

Trinidad and Tobago placed 14th, generating US$11,218.75 per 10,000 residents, a 15.9 per cent rise.

Grenada followed at 15th, with spending of US$11,080.25 per 10,000 residents, up 194 per cent from 2024.

Jamaica ranked 17th with US$10,249.23 in spending per 10,000 residents, while St Lucia rounded out the top 20 with US$9,223.

Outside the top 20, Guyana recorded spending of US$5,606.87 per 10,000 residents, an 18.04 per cent increase. OnlyGuider also highlighted strong organic growth in Haiti and Suriname. Traffic from Haiti generated US$391.07 per 10,000 residents, a 37.36 per cent increase, while Suriname recorded US$4,065.74, up 30.92 per cent.

Commenting on trends in Dominica and Grenada, OnlyGuider said adoption rates suggest “a cultural tipping point has been reached” in some smaller Caribbean nations.

Overall, the Americas generated more than US$3.9 billion in revenue for OnlyFans in 2025, according to the report.
