A sea excursion turned deadly for a St Lucian man after he was struck and killed by a boat on January 7.

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force said the deceased, who is a 31-year-old resident of Castries, was snorkelling in waters off Soufrière around 12 pm when the incident occurred.

He was taken to the Soufrière Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
