A total of 147 referees and assistant referees from the Caribbean are currently listed on FIFA’s international referees panels within CONCACAF, reflecting the region’s growing presence in international football officiating.

Jamaica and the Dominican Republic lead the Caribbean with 21 international match officials each. 

Trinidad and Tobago follows with 14 officials, including veteran referee Cecile Hinds, while St Kitts and Nevis has 11 representatives on the list.

TTFA President Kieron Edwards welcomed the appointments, describing them as a positive reflection of the work being done behind the scenes.

“This is a proud moment for Trinidad and Tobago football,” Edwards said.

 “Our match officials continue to earn respect regionally and internationally through their discipline, preparation and commitment to excellence. These appointments do not come by chance. They are the result of years of sacrifice, development and steady improvement.”

He added that the TTFA remains committed to strengthening the officiating pathway.

“As an Association,  we see referees as an essential part of the game’s growth.  It reinforces our belief that Trinidad and Tobago can consistently produce world-class football professionals, on and off the field.”

Haiti and Suriname each account for nine officials, with Puerto Rico and the Cayman Islands listing eight apiece. Antigua and Barbuda has six international officials, including Ken Pennyfeather, who has been FIFA-licensed since 2023.

Cuba stands out for female representation, with six women officials named internationally. Among them are futsal referees Yordanka Pouyoux Ruiz, licensed since 2024, and Maricelis Sans Quiala, licensed in 2026. 

Cuba’s only female outdoor referee, Suleimy Linares Saez, has held her FIFA licence since 2017.

Several other Caribbean nations continue to maintain international officiating representation. Barbados and Guyana each have five officials, while Grenada also lists five, including Reon Radix, a referee licensed since 2018. 

The Bahamas has three officials, led by sole referee Evens Julmis, supported by assistant referees Prince Albury and Krystal Evans. 

Aruba also has three officials, including Ricangel De Leca, who has been a referee since 2015.

Bermuda accounts for four officials, the British Virgin Islands has two, and Belize, Anguilla, Dominica, Curaçao and St Lucia each have one, with Anguilla represented by Khamal Harding Hodge. 

St Vincent and the Grenadines lists three international match officials.
