St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew has travelled to St Vincent and the Grenadines to meet with the country’s new government.
Drew, who serves as chairman of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), was accompanied by CARICOM Secretary-General Dr Carla Barnett and other representatives of the CARICOM Secretariat.
“As Chair of CARICOM, my focus over the next six months is to make regional integration and trade meaningful, practical, and beneficial to our people. Together, we move CARICOM forward,” Drew said in a Facebook post.
Drew met with St Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister Godwin Friday and members of his cabinet to discuss matters of regional concern, shared priorities, and continued cooperation within CARICOM.
Drew is the second regional leader to meet with Friday.
On January 9, Grenada’s Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell held discussions with Friday and his team on matters of mutual interest.
