Police in Antigua and Barbuda are investigating a suspicious death of a man after his body was discovered inside an abandoned vehicle on the compound of the Old Ottos School.

The discovery was made shortly after midday on February 2 at the Ottos School Compound in St John’s.

According to police, preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was found in the back of an abandoned Hyundai Tucson SUV. 

Authorities said the man was partially dressed, wearing long blue jeans and black socks, but was not wearing a shirt.

Police said the matter is now being treated as a suspicious death as investigators work to confirm the identity of the deceased and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Authorities are appealing to members of the public who may have information that could assist with the investigation
