Police in St Vincent and the Grenadines are investigating the death of a 39-year-old construction worker following a workplace incident.

Authorities identified the deceased as Lemorne Baptiste of Chilli, Georgetown. 

Police said the incident occurred on February 4, 2026.

Preliminary reports indicate Baptiste sustained injuries while at a construction site in Villa. 

He was transported to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, where he later died.

Officials said a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

Police investigations into the incident are continuing.
