Arrest

Jamaican police have charged the husband of a British national in connection with her 2024 murder.

The Jamaican Constabulary Force said Angrea Morrison, otherwise called ‘Bredda-Bredda’, ‘Ninjaman’, ‘Badness’ and ‘Andre’, was charged by officers from the Westmoreland Police Division on February 11 after participating in a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.

Morrison was charged in connection with the murder of Dawn Anderson based on witness statements, including accounts from a person who reported seeing and hearing certain events connected to the incident, police said.

The 39-year-old construction worker and vendor had been on the run since December 2024.

He was arrested on February 6 during a targeted joint police operation in Montego Bay.

Police had previously listed Morrison and his brother, Kemar Morrison, as persons of interest in Anderson’s murder.

Police said a court date for Morrison is being finalised.

On December 2, 2024, Anderson’s body was discovered in a shallow grave in Petersfield.

The 64-year-old, who was of Jamaican heritage, had been reported missing on November 25, a day after she travelled to Jamaica for a short holiday with Morrison.

In an interview with The Sun, Anderson’s daughters, Charmaine, Krystal and Fiona, said the family was distraught.

They also revealed they were unaware of Morrison’s criminal past until it was revealed by police, including that he had once been a murder suspect and was freed of charges due to a lack of evidence.

They told the publication their mother, a devout Christian, met Morrison while he was working on her Jamaican home in Roaring Falls.

Anderson and Morrison were married nine months before her death.
