The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) has appointed Derek King as interim head coach of the Trinidad and Tobago national football team ahead of a series of upcoming international matches.
The appointment follows the association’s recent decision to part ways with former head coach Dwight Yorke.
The TTHA said King brings significant experience within the national programme.
He previously served as an assistant coach under Yorke and also held the same role during the tenure of former head coach Angus Eve.
Before that, King was a member of the national team’s technical staff under former head coach Stephen Hart from 2013 to 2016.
He also briefly served as interim head coach in 2024 following Eve’s departure, providing continuity during that transition period.
King will lead the team for an upcoming international friendly against Bolivia national football team on March 15 in Bolivia.
The team will also participate in the FIFA Series later this month in Uzbekistan.
