Raymond Richards secured a bronze medal in the men’s high jump at the 2026 World Indoor Championships in Poland, delivering another strong performance on the global stage.

Richards cleared 2.26 metres to match his season’s best, finishing in a tie for third place alongside South Korea’s Sanghyeok Woo.

It marks Richards’ second consecutive World Indoor bronze medal, having also finished third at the previous edition in Nanjing, China.

The result also brings Jamaica’s medal tally at the championships to three.

Ukraine’s Oleh Doroshchuk claimed gold with a jump of 2.30 metres, while Mexico’s Erick Portillo took silver with the same height.

Doroshchuk was awarded the win based on fewer misses.
