Prime Minister Godwin Friday

St Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister Godwin Friday left the country yesterday to travel to Bogotá, Colombia to attend the 10th Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States and the CELAC–Africa High-Level Forum.

Friday will be accompanied by Senior Advisor Kevin Hope, who also serves as Ambassador with responsibility for finance, climate and investments, as well as Gareth Bynoe.

The summit is expected to bring together leaders from Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa to strengthen cooperation in areas such as trade, investment and sustainable development.

During the meetings, Friday is also expected to promote initiatives aimed at fostering economic growth and deepening partnerships that would benefit St Vincent and the Grenadines.

The discussions will conclude on March 21 with the adoption of the Bogotá Declaration, which will outline a shared vision for enhanced cooperation among participating countries.

In the Prime Minister’s absence, Daniel Cummings will serve as Acting Prime Minister.
