Ten calypsonians have advanced to the Nagico Senior Calypso final in Sint Maarten following the elimination round held on March 21.

The competition took place at the Aleeze Convention Center, where 19 artistes competed for a place in the final.

At the end of the round, five men and five women secured the judges’ nod, earning the chance to challenge reigning Calypso Monarch Edsel “Yaadfowl” Eusebius at Carnival Village.

The finalists are:

• Alberto Arrindell – Fish da Mega Boss – “Lost in the Sauce”
• Rumini Rogers – The Protégé – “Pressure”
• Isidore York – Mighty Dow – “Liars and Fakes”
• Pedro Jones – Dr. Jones – “The Doctor’s Office”
• Jasmine Richardson – Lady Baker – “Ubuntu”
• Ashayna Nisbett – Ashayna – “Guard the Village”
• Evelyne Walters – Ebony Empress – “Sharp Like a Razor”
• Zahira Richardson – Empress Zee – “We Rise”
• Eunia Richardson – Empress Eunia – “Charity Begins at Home”

The finial is set for April 21.
