Two suspects are being questioned by police in Antigua and Barbuda in connection with a double homicide in Villa that left two teenagers dead.

The Royal Police Force said the two males, aged 19 and 24, are in custody assisting investigators with ongoing inquiries into the deaths of 17-year-old Omarie Lewis and 18-year-old Brianna Clarke, both of Hans Street.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the Villa area at about 10:30 am on Thursday, March 26.

Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Serious Crimes Unit, Forensic Evidence Recovery Unit (FERU), and the St John’s Police Station were dispatched to the scene.

On arrival, police found both victims lying motionless and unresponsive outside their residence.

A medical doctor later pronounced them dead at 11:53 am and 11:54 am, respectively.

Investigations are continuing.
