A search is underway in waters around Grenada after two men from Carriacou after the boat they were traveling in reportedly went missing in waters near Kick ’em Jenny underwater volcano.

The men, who are from Bogles, were travelling on an 18-foot vessel — described as purple, white, and partly blue. 

A distress call was reportedly made around 8:00 pm, with the boat’s last known location identified in waters near Kick ’em Jenny around 1:00 a.m. this morning.

Boat owners, fishermen and anyone traveling within the surrounding waters are being asked to keep a sharp lookout for the missing vessel or any signs of the occupants.

Authorities say even the smallest piece of information could prove critical in the search effort.

Anyone with information or sightings is urged to contact the Grenada Coast Guard immediately through 911.
