Kelcia Nelson has officially been crowned Miss World Guyana 2026 during a coronation ceremony held at the Pegasus Exhibition Hall in Georgetown.
Nelson received the crown on May 24 from outgoing Miss World Guyana 2024 Zalika Samuels, who was recognised during the crowning ceremony for her representation of Guyana internationally and her advocacy work through the Beauty With A Purpose platform.
Jenica Walcott finished as first runner-up.
Organisers said Walcott will assist with national and local representational duties throughout the 2026 reign cycle.
As the newly crowned titleholder, Nelson is now set to represent Guyana at the 75th edition of the Miss World Festival, scheduled to take place in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5.
The international competition will begin in Hanoi and conclude with the grand finale in Ho Chi Minh City.
