Audrey Ho-Wen-Tsaï has made history as the first woman from French Guiana to place at Miss World.

The 20-year-old beauty achieved the milestone after being named the Americas and Caribbean winner of the Multimedia Award.

Ho-Wen-Tsaï beat contestants from Argentina, Chile, Colombia and the Dominican Republic to claim the continental title.

She is now among four continental queens who will compete for a place in the Miss World 2026 Top 20. Ho-Wen-Tsaï will face Germany’s Julia Kühnle, Indonesia’s Audrey Bianca Callista and Zambia’s Adah Mushibi.

The winner of the continental challenge will secure a place in the Top 20.

Ho-Wen-Tsaï also has another opportunity to advance through the Beauty with a Purpose competition.

The top two contestants in that competition will advance to the Top 20, while the overall winner will go directly into the Top 6.

Meanwhile, three other Caribbean contestants have already secured places in the Miss World 2026 Top 40: Dominican Republic’s Joheirry Mola, Puerto Rico’s Suil Pagán and Trinidad and Tobago’s Georgia-Lee Gill.
