Saint Lucia is teaming up with Premier League giants Arsenal Football Club in a new multi-year partnership aimed at boosting the island’s global tourism profile.

The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) announced on June 16 that it has become Arsenal’s Official Destination Partner, with the agreement set to begin at the start of the 2026/27 season.

The partnership will give Saint Lucia visibility across Arsenal’s global platforms, including branding at the Emirates Stadium, digital channels and matchday exposure during Premier League, Women’s Super League and cup competitions.

With Arsenal boasting millions of supporters around the world, the SLTA said the partnership provides an opportunity to showcase Saint Lucia’s landscapes, culture and experiences to new audiences, particularly in the United Kingdom, one of the island’s key tourism markets.

Saint Lucia, located in the Eastern Caribbean, is known for its volcanic peaks, rainforests, beaches and cultural heritage. The island has a population of about 180,500 people.

Tourism Minister Dr Ernest Hilaire said the partnership comes at a time when both Saint Lucia and Arsenal are entering new phases of growth.

“We are entering an exciting term as Arsenal’s Official Destination Partner, aligning with a club that has a loyal, global supporter base,” Hilaire said.

He said the collaboration reflects shared values around community, sustainability and resilience, while providing a platform to highlight Saint Lucia’s culture, events and natural attractions.

The agreement will also include the development of an Academy Hub in Saint Lucia, aimed at creating opportunities for young footballers through mentorship and player development programmes.

Arsenal Chief Commercial Officer Juliet Slot said the club was pleased to partner with Saint Lucia, describing the island as a destination with a rich history and culture.

The partnership will include joint marketing campaigns, supporter engagement activities and international promotions designed to strengthen Saint Lucia’s “Let Her Inspire You” tourism campaign through Arsenal’s men’s and women’s teams.

The SLTA has previously used sports partnerships as part of its tourism strategy, including collaborations with major sporting organisations such as the New York Yankees, Toronto Raptors, Toronto Maple Leafs and Brooklyn Nets
