Police in Antigua and Barbuda are investigating the death of a 19-year-old woman whose body was recovered from waters near Devil’s Bridge on June 21.

According to preliminary reports from the police, the Zowie Tomlinson, a student of the Pares Secondary School, allegedly jumped from Devil’s Bridge late Saturday night. 

Following reports of the incident, officers from the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda, along with members of the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force Coast Guard, launched a search operation involving both land and sea teams.

The search was temporarily suspended overnight due to challenging conditions and other operational factors.

When the search resumed, the Coast Guard later recovered the woman’s body from the water and transported it ashore.

The police force has extended condolences to the woman’s family and friends and asked that their privacy be respected while the investigation continues.
