Caribbean Airlines is increasing capacity on the Trinidad-Tobago airbridge for the busy July and August vacation period by adding 72 extra flights and more than 7,600 additional seats.

The airline said the expanded schedule will operate from July 16 to August 31, 2026, providing an additional 7,656 seats to meet increased travel demand during one of the busiest periods of the year.

The extra services will supplement the airline’s regular domestic schedule and will be operated using a mix of ATR aircraft and Boeing 737 jets, giving passengers more travel options and greater flexibility.

According to Caribbean Airlines, the additional capacity is intended to accommodate increased passenger traffic during the school holidays, including travellers heading to Tobago for the Tobago Heritage Festival and The Great Race, two of the island’s biggest annual events that attract thousands of visitors.

The airline said the expanded schedule will also support Tobago’s tourism sector, cultural activities and businesses that benefit from the annual influx of visitors.

Acting Chief Executive Officer Varma Khillawan said the airline is responding to the seasonal increase in demand while supporting Tobago’s economy.

“The July and August vacation period is traditionally one of the busiest times for domestic travel, particularly with Tobago hosting several major events that attract visitors from across Trinidad and the wider region,” Khillawan said.

“We are increasing capacity to make travel more convenient while continuing to support Tobago’s tourism industry and the communities and businesses that benefit from these important events.”

The additional flights are now available for booking through the Caribbean Airlines website and mobile app, ticket offices, the airline’s reservations call centre and authorised travel agents.
