THE VALLEY, Anguilla — Visitors and residents can now book and pay online for licensed taxi and chauffeur services in Anguilla through a locally developed platform designed to simplify ground transportation.
Called RSVD | Transfers, the platform was developed by What We Do In Anguilla and allows users to arrange airport and ferry transfers, trips to restaurants and journeys to attractions before arriving on the island or during their stay.
The company describes the service as Anguilla’s first online platform to combine reservations and payments for licensed taxi and chauffeur services. Prices are based on the island’s official taxi fare structure, while payments can be made securely online.
Jameel Rochester, director of tourism at the Anguilla Tourist Board, said the platform demonstrates how digital innovation can support the tourism industry and local businesses.
“Locally developed services like RSVD | Transfers show how digital innovation can benefit our tourism industry,” Rochester said. “For our visitors and residents, it means being able to arrange transportation with greater confidence. For our taxi and chauffeur operators, it creates another way to reach customers and plan their business. That is the kind of practical progress we want to encourage and support.”
Advance bookings can help participating transportation providers anticipate demand, manage their schedules and plan their work more effectively. The service is also open to residents, extending its use beyond the tourism market.
Clemvio Hodge, manager of What We Do In Anguilla, said the platform was developed to make transportation booking easier while creating new opportunities for local operators.
“Innovation and problem-solving have always been at the heart of What We Do In Anguilla,” Hodge said. “With the launch of RSVD | Transfers, we are proud to introduce a digital solution that modernizes transportation booking on the island, making it easier for visitors and residents to access reliable services while empowering local transportation providers through technology.”
Anguilla is internationally associated with the .ai internet domain. The new platform offers a local example of how digital services can be applied to everyday transportation needs and tourism operations.
