Contour Airlines is expanding its Caribbean network with the launch of two new routes that will improve regional connectivity between the Eastern and Southern Caribbean.
Beginning October 5, 2026, the airline will introduce twice-weekly nonstop flights between Dominica and Trinidad and Tobago, while also launching nonstop service between St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands and St Maarten.
The new Douglas-Charles Airport (DOM)–Piarco International Airport (POS) route will reestablish a direct air link between Dominica and Trinidad while also providing passengers with one-stop, same-aircraft connections to San Juan, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
The route comes just over a month after Caribbean Airlines ended its Trinidad to Dominica service after encountering a loss of US$ 0.73 million on the route.
The Dominica-Trinidad service will operate on Mondays and Thursdays, departing Dominica at 6:05 pm and arriving in Trinidad at 7:25 pm. Return flights will leave Trinidad at 8:30 am on Tuesdays and Fridays, arriving in Dominica at 9:50 am.
Contour will also operate weekly one-stop services between Trinidad and San Juan, departing Piarco at 8:30 am on Tuesdays and arriving in San Juan at 11:50 am. Return flights will leave San Juan at 4:05 pm on Thursdays, arriving in Trinidad at 7:25 pm.
Another weekly one-stop service will connect Trinidad and St. Thomas, with flights departing Piarco at 8:30 am on Fridays and arriving in St. Thomas at 11:45 am. Return flights will depart St. Thomas at 4:00 pm on Mondays, arriving in Trinidad at 7:25 pm.
Contour Airlines President Ben Munson said the expansion is part of the carrier’s continued investment in regional air travel.

Dominica’s Minister of Tourism, Denise Charles-Pemberton, said the direct service would improve travel between the two countries while opening new opportunities for tourism.
“This direct jet service to Trinidad upgrades the visitor experience by offering greater comfort, speed, and reliability,” the minister said.

Meanwhile, Contour will also begin operating twice-weekly flights between Cyril E King Airport in St Thomas and Princess Juliana International Airport in St Maarten,.
Officials in both the US. Virgin Islands and St Maarten welcomed the announcement, saying the service would strengthen regional travel, support tourism and business activity, and improve mobility for residents and visitors.

Princess Juliana International Airport Chief Executive Officer Michael Cleaver said every new route strengthens connectivity across the region and provides travellers with greater choice when moving around the Caribbean.

The St Thomas-St Maarten service will operate twice weekly.
On Mondays, flights will depart St Thomas at 11:35 am, arriving in St Maarten at 12:30 pm, before returning at 1:15 pm and landing in St Thomas at 2:10 pm.
On Fridays, departures from St. Thomas are scheduled for 12:35 pm, arriving at 1:35 pm, while return flights will leave St Maarten at 2:30 pm and arrive at 3:25 pm.
Both new routes will be operated using Contour Airlines’ 30-seat ERJ-135 regional jets.
