The Grenada Football Association has appointed Caribbean football icon Stern John as the new head coach of the country’s senior men’s national team.
The appointment marks a homecoming for John, whose mother was born in Grenada, despite his distinguished international career representing Trinidad and Tobago.
John scored 70 international goals for Trinidad and Tobago and is recognised as CONCACAF’s all-time leading international goalscorer.
He also brings coaching experience from across the region, having most recently served as head coach of Saint Lucia.
The Grenada Football Association said John’s experience and tactical leadership will help guide the national team into what it described as a “bold new era.”
