Canadian airline Porter Airlines is adding Jamaica to its growing network with a new seasonal service between London, Ontario and Montego Bay, starting in December.

The route is part of Porter’s first-ever operations from London International Airport (YXU), where the airline will launch four seasonal services to destinations in the Caribbean, Mexico and Florida.

The London-Montego Bay service will begin on December 18 and operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays.

Porter will also launch flights from London to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando in Florida, as well as Cancun in Mexico.

The new routes are:

• London–Montego Bay: Starts December 18, twice weekly
• London–Fort Lauderdale: Starts November 18, four times weekly
• London–Orlando: Starts November 19, three times weekly
• London–Cancun: Starts December 17, four times weekly

For the Caribbean, the Montego Bay service provides a new direct option for travellers in Southwestern Ontario heading to Jamaica during the winter season.

Porter said all four winter routes will be operated using its 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.

The airline plans to expand its presence in London beyond seasonal leisure routes, with a year-round domestic network connecting the city with destinations across Canada expected to launch in summer 2027.

Details of those routes have not yet been announced.

Porter CEO Michael Deluce said the new service will give more than two million people in the Greater London area the option of flying from their local airport rather than travelling elsewhere to access international connections.

The launch is also being welcomed by London International Airport, which said the region has been underserved by air service for years.

The airport expects Porter’s arrival to create new opportunities for tourism, business and investment across Southwestern Ontario.

Flights are now available for booking, with the Montego Bay service offering travellers a new nonstop connection to Jamaica from the region.
