Miss Dominican Republic World Joheirry Mola has advanced to the Top 40 at Miss World 2026 after winning the Americas and Caribbean segment of the competition’s Top Model fast-track event.

Mola secured the continental spot after competing in a fashion show in Nha Trang, Vietnam, on August 28.

The Top 60 contestants took part in the event, walking the runway in designs by local designers from their respective countries.

Sixteen contestants from the Americas and Caribbean competed for the regional title.

The other four finalists were Audrey Ho-Wen-Tsaï of French Guiana, Mary Sickler of the United States, Mística Nuñez of Venezuela and Andrea Romero of Colombia.

Mola’s victory makes her the third Caribbean or Americas contestant to secure a place in the Miss World Top 40 through a fast-track event.

She joins Miss Trinidad and Tobago World Georgia-Lee Gill, who won the Americas and Caribbean title in the Head to Head Challenge, and Miss Puerto Rico World, who secured her place after winning the Sport fast-track event.

The other continental winners in the Top Model challenge were Nigeria’s Tamunosoye Karibi-George for Africa, Vietnam’s Bảo Ngọc Lê Nguyễn for Asia and Oceania, and France’s Indira Ampiot for Europe. 

Mola and the other continental winners will have another opportunity to advance in the live final on September 5.

The overall winner of the Top Model challenge will move directly into the Miss World Top 20.
