Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar held a bilateral meeting with Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama, with discussions focusing on trade and investment, air transportation and reparations.

The meeting took place in New York on September 21 as both leaders prepare to attend the United Nations General Assembly.

In a social media post, Persad-Bissessar said a key outcome of the meeting was the signing of an Air Services Agreement between Trinidad and Tobago and Ghana.

The agreement is aimed at strengthening air connectivity between the two countries and creating new opportunities for cooperation between Trinidad and Tobago and the African continent.

They also discussed trade, investment and reparations.
