Dickon Mitchell voting

ST GEORGE’S, Grenada — Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell is set to take the oath of office on November 8, beginning his second successive term as Grenasa’s head of government.

The Attorney General is also expected to be sworn in during the ceremony, which is scheduled for 4pm at the Kirani James Athletic Stadium in St George’s.

A statement from the government did not say if the remaining cabinet members will also be sworn in.

Mitchell and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) secured a landslide victory in the November 5 general election, winning 14 of the 15 seats in the House of Representatives.

The result marks an increase from the 10 seats the party held before the election.

The New National Party (NNP) retained one seat, avoiding a complete wipeout.
