Haiti and Jamaica delivered strong performances as Round One of the 2026 CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Qualifiers wrapped up with the final matches in Groups C, D and E on Monday.

Both teams secured top spot in their respective groups to advance to the Final Round, while several other Caribbean nations closed their campaigns with notable victories and attacking displays across the tournament.

Haiti dominate Group C

Haiti completed a flawless group stage campaign with a commanding 3-0 victory over Guatemala at Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao, sealing top spot in Group C.

Krystel Châtelain opened the scoring in the 4th minute after reacting quickest to a rebound from a blocked penalty. Haiti doubled its advantage just a minute later when Keisha Gue found space and fired past the goalkeeper.

Kerdina Lamour converted from the penalty spot in first-half stoppage time to secure the victory and cap a dominant group stage performance. Haiti advanced unbeaten, scoring 17 goals while conceding just once.

Elsewhere in the group, the Cayman Islands ended their campaign on a high note with a 3-0 win over Saint Lucia. Reese Bateson opened the scoring in the 15th minute after beating two defenders. Clara De Quintal added a second in the 38th minute, while Kezia Parchmont powered home a header in the 84th minute from Olivia Ridley’s corner to seal the result.

Jamaica edge Honduras to clinch Group D

Jamaica booked their place in the Final Round after grinding out a narrow 1-0 victory over Honduras in Group D at Stadion Guillermo Prospero Trinidad in Oranjestad, Aruba.

Elizabeth Miller scored the decisive goal in the 44th minute, rising highest to head home a corner delivered by Shennell Walters. 

The Reggae Girlz were forced to defend for much of the second half after Ricquanna Richards was sent off in the 57th minute but managed to hold firm to secure the win and top the group with three victories and one draw.

Guyana, meanwhile, delivered one of the most emphatic performances of the tournament, thrashing Saint Vincent and the Grenadines 14-0. Alexaudria Chasles scored six goals, including four during a nine-goal first half, while Ellie Biffin added a brace as Guyana recorded eight different scorers.

Grenada finish strong in Group E

Grenada ended their tournament on a positive note with a 3-2 victory over Anguilla in Managua, Nicaragua.

Anguilla struck early through Kaylee Durand in the 2nd minute, but Grenada responded quickly with Cara Bisasor scoring from a free kick in the 10th minute. Alexis Hypolite then took control of the match, scoring twice in the second half with long-range strikes in the 48th and 57th minutes. Safiyah Gaskin pulled one back late for Anguilla in the 86th minute.

Costa Rica topped Group E after defeating Cuba 3-1. 

Valentina Vargas opened the scoring shortly after halftime before Lucía Paniagua added two goals, including a penalty. Cuba’s Yaiselis López netted a late consolation goal.

Costa Rica advanced unbeaten with a tournament-leading 40 goals scored and only two conceded.

Nicaragua and Bermuda progressed to the Final Round as the two best second-place finishers, joining Haiti, Jamaica and Costa Rica among the advancing teams.
