Gun violence has claimed the life of a 42-year-old man in Barbados.

Police reported that on February 2, Fabian Aaron Taylor of Kendal Hill Park, Christ Church, was shot while sitting in a vehicle at Lower Carters Gap, Enterprise, shortly before 8:45 am.

Preliminary reports indicate that an assailant approached the vehicle and fired several shots, injuring Taylor.

He was transported in a private motorcar to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Police are appealing to members of the public who may have witnessed the shooting or have information that could assist investigators to come forward.
