Airspace over Barbados has been temporarily closed due to what the Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA) described as an “operational disruption.”

In an advisory, the airport said the closure is affecting some arriving and departing flights.

Airport officials urged passengers to contact their respective airlines for updated information regarding their flights.

The airport did not immediately provide further details on the cause of the disruption or indicate how long the closure is expected to last.
