Stayover tourism in Curaçao continued to grow in February, with the island recording a rise in visitor arrivals during the peak winter travel season.

Figures released by the Curaçao Tourist Board show that 74,591 stayover visitors arrived in February 2026, a 7 percent increase compared with the same period last year. The growth represents an additional 4,984 visitors.

The increase was driven by strong demand across major source markets, particularly South America, which recorded the fastest growth with a 27 percent rise in arrivals. North America posted a 6 percent increase, while Europe grew by 3 percent. The Caribbean was the only region to record a decline in visitor numbers.

In terms of overall arrivals, Europe remained the island’s largest source market with 27,799 visitors, followed by North America with 27,042 and South America with 16,206.

The Netherlands continued to lead individual markets, with 23,460 visitors travelling to the island, a slight increase from February 2025. Most Dutch visitors opted for non-resort accommodation and stayed for an average of nearly 12 nights.

Arrivals from the United States remained steady at 19,622 visitors, with the majority staying in resort hotels and averaging just over six nights.

Canada recorded one of the strongest gains, with arrivals increasing by 25 percent to 7,420 visitors. Canadian travellers stayed for an average of 9.4 nights, split evenly between resort and non-resort accommodation.

Overall, visitors spent an average of 8.6 nights on the island during February, reflecting sustained demand and engagement across key markets.

Tourism officials said the performance highlights continued interest in Curaçao as a winter destination, supported by a balanced mix of visitors and steady growth in priority markets.
