The Curaçao Tourist Board says the island recorded steady growth in visitor arrivals in March, with nearly 80,000 stayover tourists welcomed during the month.
According to the board, a total of 79,763 stayover visitors arrived in Curaçao, marking a 10 per cent increase compared to March 2025.
The performance reflects sustained demand across key source markets.
Leisure travel continued to dominate, accounting for 90 per cent of all visits.
Smaller shares of travellers visited friends and relatives or came for business, each representing about three per cent of arrivals.
Visitors also spent a significant amount of time on the island, with the average stay holding steady at 7.8 nights.
Tourism officials say this supports consistent activity across local sectors, including accommodation providers, restaurants, transport services and tour operators.
The United States emerged as the top source market in March, with 24,043 visitors—a nine per cent increase year-on-year.
US travellers stayed an average of 5.7 nights, with the majority opting for resort hotels.
Arrivals from Netherlands totalled 21,385, representing a five per cent decline compared to the same period last year.
However, officials noted that this reflects a shift within the broader European market rather than reduced demand overall.
Growth in other European markets, particularly from Germany, helped offset the decline.
Dutch visitors stayed the longest, averaging 11 nights, with a slight preference for non-resort accommodations.
Meanwhile, Canada posted the strongest growth among the top markets.
The island welcomed 8,400 Canadian visitors, a 40 per cent increase compared to March 2025.
Canadian travellers stayed an average of 7.8 nights, with more than half choosing resort accommodations.
The tourism board said overall performance for March met expectations and indicated continued strength in demand.
It added that it will continue to monitor visitor trends to support sustainable growth that benefits local businesses while maintaining quality of life for residents.
