An American man was found dead at a hotel on Paradise Island on May 2, police said.

According to reports, shortly before 3 p.m., a woman contacted authorities requesting emergency medical assistance after the man was discovered unresponsive near the hotel’s entrance.

Police said the hotel’s emergency response team had already begun administering CPR before officers arrived, but efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.

Emergency medical personnel later examined the man and confirmed that he showed no signs of life.

Authorities said an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death. The man’s identity has not been released, and the hotel has not been named.

Investigations are ongoing.
