A national of Saint Kitts and Nevis has become Dominica’s latest murder victim after he was shot and killed in Picard, Portsmouth on May 10.

Police Chief Lincoln Corbette said the man’s body was discovered by officers who responded to reports of gunshots around 9:20 pm.

Speaking at a media conference yesterday, Corbette said a man and a woman have since been arrested in connection with the killing.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released by police.

When pressed by reporters for additional details, Corbette said the “matter is very fresh in terms of investigations” and he was not prepared to disclose further information at this stage.

He urged members of the public to assist investigators by contacting the police hotline at 1-800-TIPS.
