Lennox Nathaniel Greaves has been sentenced for causing death by careless driving in connection with a 2024 incident that claimed the life of Dr Simoneth Williams in in Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Greaves, of Molineaux, had pleaded guilty to the offence on March 6, 2026.
Dr Williams, who was from St. Peter’s, was struck by a vehicle while walking along a main road around 11:30 pm on December 21, 2024.
The sentence was handed down on May 27 by the High Court of St Kitts and Nevis, presided over by Justice Patrick Thompson.
As part of the ruling, Greaves was ordered to pay EC$100,000 in compensation to Williams’ family. His driver’s licence was also revoked until January 1, 2027.
The court additionally imposed a 12-month suspended prison sentence.
If Greaves commits another offence during that period, he will face a six-month custodial sentence at His Majesty’s Prison.
