Several Caribbean nationals have been recognised for their contributions to public service, business, community development, education, sport and other fields as part of King Charles’ 2026 Birthday Honours.

The honours list, announced to mark the King’s birthday celebrations, includes recipients from across the region, including Belize, Bermuda, The Bahamas, the Cayman Islands, St Vincent and the Grenadines, and Saint Lucia.

In Belize, Brett Benton Feinstein was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to business, manufacturing and agriculture, while Adrian Vincent Roe received an OBE for services to enterprise and community service.

Bermuda’s recipients include Elizabeth “Liz” Christopher, who received a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for her work in law, justice and human rights. Lionel Cann was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) for his service in disaster relief and homelessness outreach.

John Paul “JP” Skinner and Troy Farnsworth received the King’s Certificate and Badge of Honour for their contributions to marine education and conservation, and community sport and para-athlete development respectively.

In The Bahamas, Eulease Cynthia Beneby was appointed an MBE for services to education, while Reverend Benjamin Edward Pratt received a BEM for services to religion. Deputy Commissioners Kirkwood Jeremy Andrews and Ashley Anthony Rolle of the Royal Bahamas Police Force were awarded the King’s Police Medal (KPM).

The Cayman Islands had five recipients recognised, including Deputy Governor Franz Manderson, who was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to the civil service and wider community.

Tara Nielsen, founder and director of Acts of Random Kindness (ARK), received an MBE for charity and community development, while Glenda McTaggart was awarded a BEM for services to education.

Superintendent Peter Lansdown of the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service received the King’s Police Medal for policing services, while Melanie Carmichael received the King’s Certificate and Badge of Honour for work in sustainability and conservation.

In St Vincent and the Grenadines, Jeremiah Scott was appointed a Knight Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George (KCMG) for services to politics, national development and youth empowerment.

Reverend Father Eustan Ulric Commissiong-Jones received a CMG for services to Anglicanism, Christian fellowship and community work.

Other Vincentian recipients include Paul Marcus Wendell De Freitas and Anella Frances De Roche, who received OBEs, while Dennis Thaddous Forde, Ian Edgerton Sardine and Pamela Hazel Veira were awarded MBEs for their contributions to sailing, entrepreneurship, sport, youth development, business and community advancement.

In Saint Lucia, Felix Finisterre received a CMG for services to community development and poverty alleviation programmes.

Julian Desmond Charles was awarded an OBE, while Examin Zephirina Philbert and Anthony Philgence received MBEs for their work in community outreach and development.

Allison Celia George, Hubert Frederick George James and Russell D’Vere An received British Empire Medals for their contributions to community services and development initiatives.
