Stacey Liburd has stepped down as chief executive officer of the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA), bringing her tenure at the organisation to an end after just over a year.

The GTA announced that Liburd’s departure took effect on July 22.

She assumed the role in June 2025.

In a statement, Liburd said her decision to leave was driven by personal reasons.

“Serving as chief executive officer of the Grenada Tourism Authority has been one of the greatest privileges of my professional career,” she said.

“While my time in Grenada has been immensely rewarding, it has also come at considerable personal sacrifice and after much reflection I have made the difficult decision to return home and focus on my family.”

Liburd said she was proud of what had been achieved during her time at the authority and thanked the GTA staff, the Ministry of Tourism, industry partners and the people of Grenada for their support.

She added that she remained confident in the future of Grenada’s tourism industry and would continue to champion the destination.

The GTA’s Board of Directors thanked Liburd for her service and wished her success in her future endeavours.

The authority said interim management arrangements have been put in place while it continues its work to promote Grenada and strengthen the destination’s competitiveness in the global tourism market.
