A 32-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Saint Lucia July 26.

According to the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, officers responded to reports of a crash at Au Pos, Anse La Raye, around 7:55 am.

Preliminary investigations indicate that an orange Toyota Aqua veered off the road and plunged over a precipice with two people inside.

The driver, identified as 32-year-old Andrez Forde of Marchand, Castries, was rescued by Saint Lucia Fire Service personnel and taken to the Owen King EU Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

A female passenger, who was also taken to hospital, remains in stable condition.
