Jamaica’s Mount Pleasant FA successfully defended their CFU Club Shield title after defeating Dominican Republic side Delfines del Este FC 1-0 in Sunday’s final at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Trinidad and Tobago.

Shaquiel Bradford scored the decisive goal in the 52nd minute, converting a rebound after goalkeeper Pedro Espinal Almonte had denied Christojaye Daley’s initial effort.

With both clubs already assured of places in the 2026 Concacaf Caribbean Cup, the final was a closely fought affair.

Delfines threatened early, but Mount Pleasant grew into the match and eventually broke the deadlock shortly after halftime.

The Jamaican champions had opportunities to extend their lead but were unable to find a second goal, leaving Delfines with hope until the final whistle.

The Dominican Republic club pressed for an equaliser in the closing stages, but Mount Pleasant remained solid at the back to preserve their advantage and retain the CFU Club Shield.
